The problem

Independent owners need marketplace features without a marketplace in the middle.

Renters expect to search by keyword and location, browse a map, and save favourites. Owners need to post a property themselves. Off-the-shelf listing sites give you that in exchange for a cut and someone else’s brand.

The approach

A directory build with the owner’s name on it.

Keyword and location search, regional tags (Illinois, Southern Illinois, Centralia, Whiting, Chicago, Indiana, Illiana), a map view, favourites, and a submission flow so owners can add a listing or post a request — all under the owner’s own brand, on the owner’s own domain.

Search that fits the regionKeyword and location search with tags for the specific towns and areas the listings cover.
Map browsing and favouritesSee listings on a map, sort by date, title or rating, and keep the ones worth revisiting.
Owner submissions“Add Listing” and “Post a Request” flows so owners and renters can contribute without going through anyone.
